Psoriatic arthritis, like many other types of arthritis, can be extremely painful and hard to deal with when the doctors tell you that there is no cure. The first place to start is in a healthy and balanced diet. Less Sugar, More Color

The first step to maintaining a healthier diet that can possibly cure this disease is to begin eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. You may even choose to experiment with a vegan for a while. Other forms of healthy fats can be found in oils such as avocado, olive, and walnut.


While the most beneficial source of nutrients essential for a healthy diet comes in raw, natural foods, supplements can be taken as needed. Supplements such as Vitamin K, Vitamin D, magnesium, selenium, boron, droitin, bromelain, glucosamine, and omega-3’s could be vital essentials that are missing in the diet. However, it is always best to talk to a doctor before starting new supplements or implementing drastic changes in the diet as some of these could conflict with medications.

A diet high in fiber can help reduce toxins in the body, increase digestion time and lower levels of unhealthy build up that can all be harmful elements to the body when dealing with added stress in the joints.
